Sally has a broad practice in the civil, criminal, inquisitorial and coercive jurisdictions. Her civil practice includes advising on and appearing in commercial, corporate regulatory, professional disciplinary, administrative, constitutional and native title matters, and coronial inquests. In the criminal jurisdiction she has appeared in jury trials and sentences unled and as junior counsel. She has appeared in matters where fraud or breaches of the Corporations Act are alleged, in matters arguing mental health defences, and has represented persons subject to the ‘dangerous prisoners’ legislation. Sally frequently advises on questions of evidence, privilege and litigation strategy, and appears in State and Federal Courts and Tribunals at first instance and on appeal. Prior to coming to the Bar in 2010, Sally worked for a top tier commercial law firm, a native title representative body, and as an Associate to a Supreme Court judge. She has an honours degree in English from the University of Queensland and a law degree from Griffith University with first class honours.
